In recent years, friendly relations between Taiwan and European countries have been warming up. European countries have not only been the focus of Taiwan’s diplomatic and economic relations, but also possess a rich cultural heritage and a determination to uphold the values of freedom and democracy. Therefore, Taiwan and European countries have become closer to each other and have become a resilient democratic front.
Among them, Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is a cultural hub and an international city of the performing arts with more than 500 years. This November, Budapest will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its founding. At the invitation of the Budapest City Government, the GACC (General Association of Chinese Culture) has joined hands for the first time with the Paper Windmill Theatre to go to Europe for cultural diplomacy. Through various forms of cultural diplomacy, such as children’s theater, street arts, and experiences of Taiwanese culture, Taiwan showcases the diverse colors to make friends with the world and deepen cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Europe.
